What is a lead on Selyst?

What is a lead on Selyst?

A lead is a service request submitted by a buyer through Selyst. It includes information about what the buyer needs, based on the questions asked for that specific service category.

Which leads will I see?

The leads shown in your account are based on:

  • The service categories added to your account
  • The locations you have selected for those categories
  • Any lead preferences or filters you have set

This helps you focus on opportunities that are more relevant to the services and locations you serve.

What is a Verified Lead?

Some buyers verify their phone number by entering an OTP sent by Selyst.

When this verification is completed, the lead is marked with a Verified Lead icon on the website and app.

The verification status is visible before you decide whether to purchase the lead.

What can I see before purchasing a lead?

Before purchasing, you can review information such as:

  • The service category
  • The buyer's requirements and answers to category-specific questions
  • The buyer's location
  • The number of coins required to purchase the lead
  • Whether the buyer's phone number has been verified
  • Lead badges
  • How many other sellers have already purchased the lead

Lead details

Lead prices can vary. Each category has its own pricing, and the final coin price of a lead may also change depending on the buyer's answers and the value of that particular requirement.

You can review this information before deciding whether the opportunity is suitable for your business.

Understanding Lead Badges
Some leads may display badges that give you additional information about the buyer or their requirement at a glance.
  • Remote – The buyer is open to receiving the service remotely.
  • Local Request – The buyer is looking for a professional who can serve their specified location.
  • Additional Details – The buyer has provided extra information about their requirement beyond the standard questions.
  • Custom Email – The buyer has used a domain-based or business email address rather than a common free email service such as Gmail.
  • Large Project – The buyer's answers indicate that the requirement may represent a larger-value or larger-scope project.

How to filter leads on your dashboard

Use Lead Filters on the Leads dashboard to quickly find relevant opportunities among the leads available to your account.

Click Lead Filters to open the filtering options.

You can use one or more of these filters:
FilterWhat it does
LocationShows leads for a location you have added to your account.
CategoryShows leads from a service category you have added.
Credits — Min and MaxFilters leads by their coin price. Enter a minimum, a maximum, or both to set your preferred range.
Be first to respondShows leads that no other seller has purchased through Selyst yet, giving you the opportunity to be the first to connect.

Click Apply Filters to see the matching leads. Use Clear All to clear your filter selections.

Example: To find leads in a particular category costing no more than 10 coins, select the category, enter 10 in the Max field, and click Apply Filters. Tick Be first to respond as well if you only want leads with no sellers connected yet.

These filters narrow the leads you see on the dashboard. To change the categories or locations registered to your account, update them in Settings.

What happens after I purchase a lead?

Once you purchase a lead, you can see the buyer's:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Phone number

You can then contact the buyer directly.

We recommend contacting the buyer as soon as possible after purchasing the lead. When you purchase a lead, Selyst also shares your contact information, seller profile and available social media details with the buyer, so they know that you may be contacting them.

Idea

Tip: After purchasing a lead, you can add your own notes and classify the lead to make it easier to track, organise, and find later.

Keeping your Selyst profile complete and up to date can therefore help buyers understand who you are before you speak with them.
